My Perspective on the Future of Construction
LEAN is the future of Construction. LEAN is the absence of waste, and waste is anything that consumes resources, and adds no value, as defined or determined by the customer, and for which the customer should not have to pay. In order for contractors to build all projects, especially GREEN projects, competitively, effectively and profitably, I believe they must acquire a basic understanding of LEAN principles and concepts. With this knowledge and its proper application, contractors will survive and prosper, now and in the future. Without this, I believe contractors will struggle to be competitive.
